Poker face on with a card up my sleeve

"Get Out the Way" by Classified

Nova Scotia rapper with some nice similes, and I'm pretty sure that's a Flight of the Conchords sample.

Something New

"Are You Unloved" by Years

Electroshoegaze side project of guitarist Ohad Benchetrit from Do Make Say Think. Good to get lost in while studying, or driving, maybe. No words, just guitar and horns and choppiness and fluidity.

Also, how do y'all like the built-in player?

"To Go Home" by M. Ward

This gets stuck in my head disproportionate to the number of times I've listened to it. He's playing the Central Park SummerStage on August 1st; Josh Ritter's playing the 12th of June.

Also: this is still an amazing song.

The National @ Tibet House Benefit

Two excellent new songs from the show at Carnegie Hall in February. After crazy throat singing and horn blowing by Tibetan monks and a characteristically haunting Philip Glass performance, not to mention a couple of slap-happy guitar ditties by Vampire Weekend, the National came on stage and reminded everyone of the sadness at the depths of their hearts. Or something like that.
